Professional Liability Insurance for ACEC BIT
Your clients count on you for expert advice and professional services. But no matter how well-trained or careful you or your employees are, mistakes can and do happen—sometimes resulting in a lawsuit.

- Errors or omissions

- Breach of duty
- Misleading statements

How Will My Practice Be Protected through the BIT Professional Liability Program?
The first comfort we can offer you is that Marsh USA, Inc. brokers are skilled at finding and negotiating plans for our members. They do this constantly, providing competitive quotes from the leading underwriters. They review policy features with you. They compare rates and coverages. Additionally, Marsh USA, Inc. brokers will provide timely issuance of Certificates of Insurance so there are no work delays. Certificates can be requested directly on this site, or you may fax or call in your request for processing. The Marsh Team will review insurance and indemnification related provisions in contracts with guidance from the carriers, and seek special coverage endorsements as you require.
What are the Current Ratings for PLI Carriers?
Marsh and the ACEC BIT have also established minimum financial ratings for carriers within the ACEC BIT PLI Program. Carriers must maintain an A.M. Best rating of A- or better (or equivalent Moody's/S&P rating) and hold unencumbered policyholders' surplus of $50 million, which may correspond to an A.M. Best financial size category of VII ($50 million to $100 million).
